A few years ago, after missing his umpteenth dentist appointment, Mike realized that old-fashioned appointment booking was just too painful. So he set out to build a revolutionary online service that makes it easy to for people find and book common every day services. And if it fails, well, he'll have to find some other way to pay his dentist's late fees.

Kyle's life before BookedIN involves big oil, a small consulting firm and a lot of code. He also claims to be a classically trained pianist, but all we've ever heard him play is the Muppet Show theme song. One thing we do know is that he's written a book about quality software development and likes to enlighten his adoring fans via his CodeBetter blog.

Hailing from Ibaraki, Japan and fluent in 22 languages – including Japanese, HTML, Java and a dozen others, Mayumi is the most mysterious member of the team. We imagine hers as a twisted tale of revenge and intrigue that begins beneath the neon lights of Tokyo and ends at BookedIN, where she spends her days immersed in code.

He came to us from an unknown land, bearing nothing but a loin cloth and... a keyboard? Well, not exactly but he has travelled to many exotic places. Patrick has an intense work ethic and serious programming skills, not to mention some incredible photos from his many travels.

We call Celso a ‘reverse snowbird’ because he left the sunny beaches of Brazil to live and work in Winnipeg. We’re glad he did because his technical skills and addiction to programming are invaluable to a startup like BookedIN. He’s also got a degree in architecture and Mike already has him drawing up plans for the new HQ.

Our world before Melissa was, let's just say... a little ugly. Her passion for promoting a consistent, clean brand and her keen eye for design has quickly helped us transform our image from amateur start-up to serious company. One thing we could never figure out though is why she wouldn't let us keep Marge, the company budgie, on the web site.

Jaydon balances on the line between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. He’s got the technical skills to handle the heavy lifting involved with the BookedIN website and the creative energy to be a valuable asset to the design team. We saw it on his resume but we knew it was true when he told us about a 4-foot parrot he built out of Lego.

Twitter, Facebook, blogging and customer support; if it involves interacting with customers, it falls under Cody's jurisdiction. His diploma is courtesy of Red River College, but he admits he learned it all from Franky "I Never Met a Customer I Didn't Like" Mortalli, the local car salesman.
