BookedIN Appointment Scheduling Software Team
The BookedIN Team
"We don't take ourselves too seriously. We take what we do very seriously."
Mike Iwasiow
The Eccentric Entrepreneur

Eastern philosophy, Orville Redenbacher and a Commodore 64; these are just a few of the things that influence the man who founded BookedIN. A few years ago, after missing his umpteenth dentist appointment, Mike realized that old-fashioned appointment booking is just too painful and decided to do something about it.
Mike spent the next year studying all the angles and, armed with this knowledge, his industry experience and a talented team, Mike set out to build a revolutionary online service that will change the way people book appointments. And if it doesn't work out, he’s still got a microwave and an old copy of Zaxxon lying around.
Kyle Baley
Lord Of All Things Technical

Kyle is the head of product development for BookedIN, but don't tell him that. He's never fancied himself a manager and it would kill him to find out that's what we hired him for. Kyle currently operates from the Bahamas and his life before BookedIN involves big oil, a small consulting firm and a lot of quality code.
He also claims to be a classically trained pianist, but all we've ever heard him play is the Muppet Show theme song. One thing we know for sure is that he's written a book called Brownfield Application Development in .NET and that he spends a lot of company time working on his blog; http://codebetter.com/kylebaley/.
Mayumi Liyanage
Lean Mean Programming Machine

Mayumi is the most mysterious member of the BookedIN team. Fluent in 22 languages – including Japanese, HTML, C++ and more than a dozen others – and hailing from Ibaraki, Japan, we've yet to piece together the details of her life before BookedIN. We like to imagine it's a twisted tail of revenge and intrigue that begins beneath the neon lights of Tokyo and ends at the University of Winnipeg, where she got her degree in computer science.
While the rest of the team daydreams, Mayumi works diligently to create a functional web application. Reviewing, writing and generally immersing herself in code, Mayumi makes the rest of us look like slackers.
Cody Pierson
A Poet, A Lover and A Marketing Guru

Nobody is quite sure what Cody does, but that's probably the way he likes it. During the morning meetings he talks a lot about "engagement", and throws around terms like "synergy" or "paragigm", but that's just his way of sounding smart in front of the development team. We're pretty sure Mike just keeps him around because of the candy dish on his desk.
Design, copywriting, blogging, and PR; if it involves putting words on a page or screen, it falls under Cody's jurisdiction. His diploma is courtesy of Red River College, but he learned everything he needed to know from television in the 90's.
Chance Hoggan
Search Engine Sherpa

If the internet is a superhighway, Chance is the guy holding the map. We knew we needed someone to help us with search engine optimization and when we searched "Chance Hoggan" he was the first result, so we figured we had our guy. He's from Winnipeg - by way of Scotland - and he's been doing SEO for his entire adult life. Also, his accent really classes up the conversations around the water cooler.
Fikri Aulia Rahman
Making Us Look Damn Good!

Fikri is the only member of the BookedIN team that knows all the Photoshop keyboard shortcuts , so we made him our graphic designer. He’s also the one member of the team nobody has ever seen face-to-face. Fikri has been doing graphic design in Bandung, Indonesia since 2000 and is responsible for turning the napkin scribbles the team gives him into an actual website.
Even when he’s not turning out a masterpiece in Photoshop you can find him in front of a computer, pwning noobs at various online games. He’s also available to do freelance work, so get in touch if you’re interested.
